Tony’s Pizza Napoletana

Was excited and went to check this out soon after the opening.. there was no wait so maybe that was a cue.. (not empty either but you know, where's the buzz). The "Tony" won some kind of world pizza tossing contest but there was no tossing to be seen

The dough is interesting.. which is not necessarily good. It's thicker than the thin pizzas in the city and kinda doughy, fluffy? I can't say it's a hit. The decor didn't really jive with me either and that whole neighborhood is just too touristy. We may have mis-ordered but I just feel like this place is fail

Much better food at Delfina, Flour + Water, Pizzeta 211, Gialina

Ok
- Margherita

No
- Cal Italian (figs??)

Yes
- open for lunch.. haha

Flour + Water

Took 2 times to get in there, this place is small-ish and kinda popular. Although I suppose the wait anywhere on a weekend at 8 is long (plan accordingly or get a reservation, there are also bar and communal seats)

Overall ok, the portions are strangely small (embrace how the Europeans do it?), the food came out really fast. Will try to post some pics later

yes
- salami pizza, the salami tasted like it was some homemade or high grade stuff (the pizza is quite big, I would say bigger than a medium.. you can't order that much else unless you are sharing)
- lamb tongue salad
- stuffed squash

ok
- peach salad

try
- more pizzas
- dessert (olive oil cake?)
