Prime Rib Shabu

The first and last thing you need to know is that Prime Rib Shabu is ran by Chinese folks (Cantonese) which may not say much since this is the Richmond but it's not really shabu shabu. Rather it's the idea of shabu shabu by Chinese people. Now the beef is pretty good (stick to thin cut, wtf is that thick bs)

I doubt I will return

yes
- friendly staff (waiter dude)
- thin cut

ok, though it's not much..
- vermicelli
- udon
- tofu

no
- vegetables (I think this thing they serve is watercress, gross..)
- sauce
- rice, wtf rice tastes all funky here
- thick cut.. not bad but that's not really shabu shabu and in the end the thin cut tastes better (cheaper too)
- expensive ($17-19.. $25ish for all you can eat, any day)

Wexler's

Wexler's took over the Les Amis space in sleepy financial district, it's small and a bit too modern but I liked the food. You can skip the scotch eggs though

Yes
- pork plate, like whoa
- short ribs
- beer
- the bar is gorgeous
- pretty good service

suck
- too small? you sit pretty close to others

Nah
- scotch eggs

Try
- reverse root beer float (Humphry Slocombe ice cream always wins)
